HeartCode ACLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the AHA’s ACLS Course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session.

HeartCode ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. To enter the course, students must complete a precourse self-assessment. Students will then be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 In-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 megacode cases. The cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students will take a multiple choice exam and must pass with a minimum score of 84%.

This session is for the student who had obtained and completed the Online Heartcode ACLS Provider Course through another means and who did not already purchase their keycode and skills session through this office.  If you purchased the Online Course through this office, your skills evaluation session is included in the purchase and does not require a separate purchase for a skills evaluation.  Please do not purchase this skills session if you already enrolled in the Heartcode ACLS Course through this office.   

HeartCode® PALS is an online comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development.

To enter the course, students must complete the PALS Precourse Self-Assessment. Students are then presented with 12 In-hospital patient cases and a team dynamics lesson. Cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%.

Students who successfully complete the online portion of the course receive a certificate granting them access to a PALS Hands-on Session with an AHA PALS Instructor. Students must successfully complete both the online portion and the hands-on session to receive a PALS Provider course completion card (print or eCard).

This Course is for individuals located near the Santa Maria, California Office Location

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Please note this class is designed for persons studying (including internships), entering OR working in the HEALTHCARE industries or workplaces (hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, medical or dental offices). It is NOT a course for the NON-Healthcare provider. If there are any questions or concerns, please call our office and ask to speak to the Manager. If you are not a Healthcare Provider or do not work in a Healthcare environment , please see the Heartsaver list of courses.

 Course Content:

    • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
    • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
    • Important early use of an AED
    • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
    • Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
    • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

BLS STUDY GUIDE: 2020 Guidelines Study Guide

The American Heart Association requires students to have the textbook for this course. The current BLS Provider eBook is included in you registration and will be sent to the email address you had provided.  The eBook can be accessed from a computer, tablet or smart phone and may be used during the course.
 

This video-based, Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings. This product has been updated with new science from the 2020 Guidelines for CPR and ECC and replaces the previous version (15-3254). If  you are a student, please confirm with your Training Center that this is the appropriate product for your training.

How does the 2020 Guidelines version of HeartCode differ from the 2015 Guidelines version of HeartCode?
The 2020 Guidelines HeartCode uses a personalized adaptive algorithm that sets students on the most efficient path to mastery. Students follow a continuously adapting learning path that is personalized by their own inputs: their performance, and their self- reported confidence level related to each probing question. The course content is presented in the form of self-directed learning content, probing questions, and Cognitive Assessment Activities (CAAs).

Audience:

This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in hospital and pre-hospital settings.

This Course is for individuals located near SPOKANE, WASHINGTON.

First Aid, CPR and AED Online Course Heartsaver – The online course is designed for windows. It will work on Mac only with the Firefox Browser. If you don’t have Firefox you must download it to open your online course on a Mac.

Nearly 80 percent of cardiac arrests occur outside the hospital. And in recent years, OSHA reports that approximately 4 million workplace injuries and illnesses occurred annually. The Heartsaver® First Aid Online with CPR & AED Part 1 Course offers a flexible, time-saving option for workplaces that need to provide safety training.

The complete course is delivered in three parts.

Part 1 delivers the cognitive learning through Web-based, self-paced modules.

Parts 2 and 3 require students to meet with an American Heart Association Instructor to complete a hands-on skills practice session and a skills test. Upon successful completion of all three parts students receive a course completion card valid for two years.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Online offers the convenience of digital learning. The eLearning portion of the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED blended learning course is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for pediatric first aid, CPR, and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.  The skills session is included with the purchase of this course through FireGuy CPR & Safety Training.

The AHA’s Heartsaver Pediatric course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs first aid and/or CPR training and a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. Heartsaver courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared to act in an emergency.

The course is intended for those involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This audience includes childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children’s sports organizations. This course is also ideal for parents, grandparents, extended family, babysitters, and guardians.

This course offers the flexibility of two different course paths:

  • Heartsaver – Shorter Heartsaver course path offers the flexibility to add optional topics. Add on optional topics when required topics are completed.
  • Heartsaver Total – Comprehensive course designed for those requiring training to meet OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements.
